In terms of death and cultural preference, I support Western medicine. Thus, I believe that people should be told the truth about their health condition. In order to prepare myself and my family for the possible death of one of the members, I would discuss in advance what each individual member of the family wants to hear. Does he or she want to know the truth in the event of a bad health situation or any other threat to life, or want to hear more positive comments? These preferences would be considered and respected by other family members.
