The Oracle of Delphi meant that Socrates was filled with wisdom because he had embraced his inability to know everything. Both Russell and Socrates prefer to question ideas rather than assess issues superficially. Sophists were regarded as individuals who were skilled at arguing in support of any side of an argument regardless of whether it is right or wrong.
