The implications of organizing a syndicate for a number of sculptors, technical workers, and painters were associated with their opportunity to share their interests and oppose the main art course followed in the country. As a result, the members of the syndicate could promote their views by having the support of each other and involving more resources for protecting their views. They stated, “We repudiate the so-called easel art and all such art which springs from ultra-intellectual circles, for it is essentially aristocratic.” They also accentuated the shift to a new order in society and shared the vision of art as a consequence of their activities oriented toward creating authentic Mexican monumental art for people.
