According to the 2019 QSR report, the top 5 fast-food chains in America are as follows: McDonald’s, Starbucks, Subway, Taco Bell, and Chick-Fil-A. The most popular items in these fast-food spots are respectively French Fries, Pumpkin Spice Latte, Turkey Breast Sandwich, Double Steak Grilled Cheese Burrito, and Chicken Nuggets.

In 2018 approximately 32% of adults in America consumed fast food one to three times per week, and 15% of adults consumed fast food 4 to 6 times per week.

A regular workout routine can be achieved by obtaining motivation through various techniques, such as avoiding employing an all-or-nothing attitude, setting realistic expectations for yourself, and being overly critical of yourself.

Speaking personally, simple exercise found on the Internet can suffice to keep a body in shape and healthy. Maintaining a meal plan requires plenty of time for planning and preparations.

In my own experience, consuming fast food brings temporary pleasure followed by spurts of hunger and dissatisfaction with regular food.

Stress eating, also known as emotional eating, is a coping mechanism used to suppress negative emotions. As for me, it does not occur very often.

It has been argued that fast food is less expensive than home-cooked meals. A study in the UK has shown that on average unhealthy foods cost three times less than healthy foods, further proving this point.

The consumption of fast food can be influenced not only by hunger but also by certain attributable causes, like mental health problems. In turn, it can also cause mental health problems, such as a rise in levels of anxiety and depression.

Fast food’s considerable contribution to obesity in the US can be measured by the numbers provided by the National Center for Health Statistics, which shows that since 2012 the number of children and adolescence consuming fast food on a given day has risen from 12.4% to 36.3%. This increase in the number of children eating foods that are high in calories and low in nutrients could lead to a higher rate of obesity and health issues in America.
