Living in a capitalist society, I commonly observe the division of labor in the everyday world. Although we could notice the process in every sphere and occupation, starting from education and medicine, the most prominent example is displayed by large companies and corporations. In task distribution procedures, we could see two main scenarios: tasks divided into steps and proceed from one department to another, or several departments complete the job while considering only their parts.
For example, assumingan advertisement company, we could derive various departments that control companies’ operations, such as PR, HR, external affairs, communication, finance, and IT. Each of these teams has their area of occupation and a specific task they could complete. The process usually requires passing through one department to facilitate the work. An excellent example of a step-by-step approach is the factory, where the product transit between specialists when the previous stage is finished.
My experience was relatedto club event organization, where I was a part of the PR department. In our club, we had three departments based on our role in the process. The event organization department was responsible for setting location, regulating auditory, and providing comfortable conditions for our event. My department contributed by promoting this event on social networks and posting videos and photos from this event. At the same time, the external affairs department communicated and solved problems with outside sources. Ignoring college and school teamwork was my first experience of the distribution of labor. The process was effective and productive, as nobody interrupted the operation of other departments.
