We are social beings. As we go places and perform activities, we generally have to interact with others. These others are often strangers. But we have to be able to convey, as well as read, the moods and emotions of others. How do we do this? That is, how do you know the mood and emotions of others? Is it easier of the other person is someone you know? Can talking to the person provide information on emotion or mood? With these questions in mind, describe a situation where you had to assess the emotion of someone else you did not know before interacting with them.

No day goes without a person meeting a stranger; new faces are born every day; thus, meeting familiar faces would be unfair. To add to this, every human being on earth has an emotional capacity that cannot be hidden from onlookers – living minus emotional intelligence points to a predicament that a person is reliant on cognitive and intellectual skills. Emotions bring a breath of interesting, fun life and add spice to how people interact with each other.

Therefore, a person should read emotions from any person they meet to discern how they feel. I experienced the same situation while in Texas with Victor. We visited his uncle, a veteran, and went for clinical appointments at the VA Texas Health Care Center. One look at his uncle showed that things were incorrect or had not been suitable for a long time. The way he walked with shoulders high and his head bent was a sign of disappointment. Victor decided to talk to him; maybe he could open up. A little harmless chat has a way of bringing out how a person feels, especially if you approach them and get through them in the right way. I jumped on Victor’s opportunity to talk to his uncle; I never knew I heard this charm with the elderly. Within no time, he had opened up and told me how the services he was getting were below par. I realized people hide a lot of things in emotions under their skin.
