The most enlightened part that stood out was knowing that humans can affect confidence verbally. The body produces a chemical compound known as dopamine that plays the role of how humans feel pleasure. Edwards suggests that the brain looks for hits and not misses when asked a question.

For example, asking individuals if they are working on anything exciting triggers their brains immediately to begin looking for all hits of excitement and good going on in their lives. This creates pleasure for the individuals, and they borrow excitement from other places in their lives and bring it to the situation they are in at the moment. Triggering the brain to look for hits of excitement is a technique that shows how humans are verbally contagious.
