Observation
The teacher teaches the students in a calm, neutral and assertive voice. The classroom teacher says the agent helps the learners self-regulate and secure the knowledge imparted to them by the teacher. The teacher asks the learners to show their partners any emotions. The school aims to redirect the learners and guide them to do the right thing. Self-regulation is used to help learners to behave in an intended manner. The teacher says that using an aggressive voice is using fear to manipulate children’s behavior rather than assisting them to gain intrinsic motivation to help them do the right thing.
Reflection
Self-regulation with a calm, neutral tone and assertiveness is confirmed to make the students feel cared for and eager to learn. When the teacher uses a quiet voice, the students correct their behaviors like shouting and respond well to learning. The students will get a clear picture of how a well-behaved student is carrying himself in the classroom. From such a video, a student can now imitate the student who is well behaved. The students will turn away from what the teacher is correcting them, thus their behavior becoming upright.
Future classroom practice
I will use an assertive voice to correct my learners since it helps them gain intrinsic motivation to do the right thing. I will help my learning use self-regulation to display the required emotions and prevent aggressiveness and fear. I will display a sense of caring for every student, which will boost their confidence in class and out of class. The students will enjoy attending the classes, and they will be putting their level best in their academics and extracurricular activities.
