Though I am a person of color, I have never felt abandoned or betrayed by the system, mostly because I was born and grew up in the first country where Black people gained independence. Moreover, my parents have taught me never to be ashamed of who I am and to appreciate myself, as well as other people. However, I do recognize that a substantial part of Black people has been systemically abused, which is why the fight for equality must continue, as the video suggests.
