Use counterexamples to test the following general moral principle: Any action that serves one’s own best interests is morally permissible.

The actions that serve one’s individual interests can be incorrect with regard to other members of society. For example, if a person decides to steal some money from the bank for his or her personal idea, this action is not permissible as it violates the law. In addition, such a solution is destructive to the morale of society in general.
