The war on terrorism is one of the main features of the modern world. Multiple conflicts in different parts of the world pose a significant threat to world security and the lives of thousands of people. Unfortunately, speculating about the future, it is possible to say that in 20 years, the problem will still remain topical. First of all, the character of conflicts that result in the emergence of radical and terrorist groups means that their resolution will demand at least several decades because of ethical, cultural, religious, and political issues. Second, terrorism remains a potent tool of the modern global policy that might be used by some actors to achieve desired goals. For this reason, it will still be used in the future.

Finally, the rise of terrorist organizations such as ISIS and their growing power indicates that more resources will be available for them in the future. It can be expected that quasi-states formed by various radical groups will rise on territories characterized by the lack of governmental control. Moreover, the availability of resources and easy access to the weapon will result in the use of weapons of mass destruction against leaders of the war on terrorism such as Russia and the USA to weaken the coalition and destroy the existing world order. These events will alter international relations significantly as there will emerge the need for a new approach to fighting against terrorism and reducing the number of acts of violence.

Terrorism will remain one of the main social stigmas of our humanity because of its complex nature and the presence of multiple factors that support its existence and future development. That is why there is a need for some effective measures to slow down its further spread.
