Discuss the definition of creativity and define can innovation be seen as the only hallmark of creativity.

Some argue that it is a combination of tradition and innovation that enables us to make creative decisions and produce creative work. Others, particularly many of those in the West, see innovation as the only hallmark of creativity. Discuss in relation to the following definition of creativity: “Creativity is a productive activity whereby objects, processes, and ideas are generated from antecedent conditions through the agency of someone, whose knowledge to do so comes from somewhere, and the resultant novel variation is seen as a valued addition to the store of knowledge in at least one social setting” (McIntyre, 2008, p. 1).
