Summarize and evaluate St. Thomas Aquinas’s Five Ways.

St. Aquinas uses five ways to prove God’s existence. In a first way, Aquinas points out that there is a supreme being who ensures that things move and work appropriately. In a second way, Aquinas argues that things do not exist by themselves, but God initiates their existence. The third way explains that a necessary being has the ultimate power to instigate the necessity of other living things. The fourth way, according to Aquinas, clarifies that the source of perfect virtues, such as truth and goodness, is God. In a fifth way, Aquinas argues that all creatures have a supreme being who directs them towards a certain end.
