Studying Countries’ Cultures Before Business Expansion
Discuss the cultural differences and similarities between the two countries that a business department will be expanded into.
Choose a business department (for example, the production department, operations department, sales department, HR department, or accounting department). Select two countries that the department will be expanded into. Explain why these two countries were selected. Introduce what the four functions of management (planning, organizing, leading, and controlling) are in general terms and state why these functions are important. Describe cultural differences and similarities and how they will impact the operations of a chosen department (benefit or hinder) per country. Describe the communication differences (practices) for each country. Include some challenges and solutions when leading communications.
