Since 2016, Arizona Action Coalition has made steps towards the goals mentioned in the IOM report. Two of the most important initiatives are the development of a workforce center and establishing standards for data management.

AAC determines the criteria for state workforce evaluation. Creates a sub-committee to summarize the current workforce database and establishes strategies for the development of workforce monitoring systems.
AAC develops data dictionaries, policies, and procedures for data analysis and creates agreements to data usage and privacy issues. Develops means to maintain and protect confidentiality and reliability. Prepares the competent staff to handle the given tasks.

Both initiatives have a target date of 16 months.
