I would consider the word ‘lexicon’ as the most appealing to me due to different reasons.

On the one hand, the lexicon represents language’s priorities regarding the number of words and expressions for each sphere of life. For example, most of the current marine terminology is based on the Netherlandic daily lexicon, so Dutch citizens considered the maritime domain as the most significant of their existence.

On the other hand, a wide lexicon helps people express their thoughts and feelings more clearly, increasing the interconnection between speakers. For instance, consider a typical situation where a person is misunderstood since they have used an emotionally ‘wrong’ word even though it might have the same meaning from a philological perspective.

At the same time, the lexicon is directly connected with my life, especially when it comes to my contribution to the community since its wideness demonstrates my ability to self-express and communicate with other people daily.
