The pandemic has forced individuals to transfer communication to online platforms, which has affected new relations with partners who cannot cope with the new lifestyle. Intimate partners have been restricted in their ability to receive and give physical affection, thereby increasing the risk of an emotional outbreak. The pandemic-related strain is also likely to increase domestic abuse cases due to reduced mental well-being.
