Plagiarism Question

Is asking assigned questions online and looking up the answers in considered plagiarism? If I cite the sources of the answers is plagiarism avoided?

  1. As long as you don’t use the exact answers you found on the Internet, you’ll be ok. It’s never a good idea to copy something someone else has thought or said, you should have your own opinions on the topic. Especially when it comes to homework.
    Teachers can be quite strict when it comes to stuff like plagiarism.

  2. Choose a couple of answers on the same question and create a synthesis of them on your own. Write about what people agree and disagree on, and then give reasons.

  3. If you put the answers you found online it will be considered plagiarism. On the other hand, if you cite the source, it won’t be. It depends on your teacher’s requirements.

  4. The best solution in this case, is rewriting the answers in your own words. The issue with getting the answers online is the fact that you won’t learn as much. It’s always better to do your own research without relying on anybody else.
