Outline and subtopics for the research paper

I need to write my research paper on the topic of responsibility in the society, but I have faced a challenge of outlining it and organizing all the topics that come to my mind in the most appealing way.
I will appreciate your help, and I am looking forward to any ideas regarding subtopics to cover in my research paper.

  1. I propose the following outline:
    (1) definition;
    (2) significance of the topic;
    (3) research question or thesis;
    (4) responsibility in a family as a social institution;
    (5) responsibility in the workplace;
    (6) responsibility in interactions;
    (7) personal vision of responsibility;
    (8) conclusion.
    Another variant is the use of the typical outline for research papers including the literature review and discussion and analysis sections.

  2. Does your university have any requirements to structuring research papers? I think it is reasonable to ask your tutor about the appropriate outline or refer to any other writing professional assistance.

  3. As I understand, the research paper is on Social Sciences. Subtopics to cover are numerous, and you can focus on the parents’ responsibility, political leaders’ responsibility, mass media responsibility, and so on.

  4. An outline is the core of your research paper. First, brainstorm all ideas, and then discuss them, the most general ones are at the beginning, and particular cases are examples.

  5. You can start with describing the definition of responsibility, provide the thesis or research question, and then, include such subtopics as the moral responsibility, people’s vision of responsibility, personal responsibility, etc.

  6. Hi, I advise starting with the discussion of the definition of ‘responsibility’ as people see it. If the research paper is long, the explanation of the definition can be covered in a separate section.
