Nurses Flex Their Autonomy and Do Not Get Vaccinated

Nurses flex their autonomy and do not get vaccinated. What are the values, ethical principles, and rights that come into conflict in a case like this?

Are you leaning towards allowing nurses to exercise their autonomy even after learning of the consequences that may happen? What can you answer to the following argument? “Clinics were already short on equipment and ICU beds and understaffed because of firing many nurses for choosing to not vaccinate would have created more stress for other nurses who are already overwhelmed as it is.” If it is not possible to respect all of their choices, how should they be prioritized? If you were a care manager, should you fire 50 nurses and be understaffed during a pandemic?
