There are many reasons why states might implement laws that make it illegal to address sexual orientation and gender identity issues. The nation’s failure to formulate laws legalizing the discussion of gender identity issues makes families conflict. I think this because they view venturing into homosexuality as disrespectful.

Legalizing laws regarding gender identity and orientation will create a better ground for families, partners, and the public to know more about bisexuals, gays, lesbians, and transgender youths. This can result from civic education, thus reducing family conflicts and romantic relationships and minimizing the cases of youth suicide.

This is why it is so important for states to have laws that specifically protect transgender and non-binary individuals from discrimination. Such laws send a clear message that these groups are valued and supported by society, which can help reduce feelings of isolation and despair. I think these protective laws can aid in deterring family members and partners from abusing persons with gender identity or orientation issues, which will eliminate or decrease suicide cases.
