The meter of “Te Deum” is a simple duple, as it is devisable by two and characterized by the time signature of 2/2 (two notes in each measure). The tempo of the piece is allegro, which may be described as fast and constituting a BPM of approximately 110-130. The instruments used in the piece include trumpet, violin, alto recorder, oboe, and cello.

The dynamics between Melody A (with which the piece starts) and Melody B are quite different, as Melody A is characterized by a strong and loud fortissimo emphasized by trumpet, and Melody obtains characteristics of a mild and quieter pianissimo dominated by violin andcello in the background. Melody A sounds five times, as the first and the last parts play the melody two times in a row with a slight pause between them. Melody B sounds two times.
