At the start, Hubspot was serving all types of customers who would come their way. However, as time went by, Hubspot found out that there were different customer segments in the market that had a different levels of exposure to web 2.0 marketing.

First of all, it is important for Hubspot to be very selective in serving customers. As indicated in the case study, B2C companies were already well established in the market through web marketing, and so were their clients. In fact, users of B2C companies only made advances to Hubspot after exploring the benefits of B2C companies.

On the other hand, it would be advisable for Hubspot to optimize the presence of B2B customers who had little knowledge or idea on the use of web 2.0 tools for marketing. This would be definitely a growth ground for Hubspot because it would give it the chance to explore and reap the benefits of the untapped market.

Moreover, there was a tendency for B2B customers to benefit from the ideals of inbound marketing much more compared to customers in B2C companies. Since Hubspot is specifically promoting inbound marketing, it is advisable that it majors on the B2B customers.
