Edward Heyward is anti-federalist because he is a member of the aristocracy of Georgia who advocates for the centralized government so that it can exercise imperial powers against its subjects. After independence from Britain, he acquired substantial tracts of land and wealth that made him feel that he was very powerful and could control everybody in Georgia. Anti-federalists believe that a centralized form of government is the most powerful with the ability to regulate the society by preventing the emergence of tyrant groupings.
They have the perception that wealthy and royal families are the only people who can lead a nation because of the status. Edward Heyward examining his economic status convinced himself that he was a royal man. Due to his imperial tendency and anti-federalism, he was jealous of the Indian tribes who demonstrated some form of federal organization that made them wealthy. The ideology of anti-federalism made him devise how to fight Indians in Western Georgia.
