It is difficult to disagree with the claim about the futility of financial planning in modern chaotic times because planning might deprive a business of flexibility that is highly demanded in such an unstable environment. Besides, a plan might occur to be inaccurate because of the unpredictability of numerous factors that affect both companies’ and individuals’ financial well-being. Nonetheless, the total absence of a financial plan is detrimental for businesses of any size. From this, it might be inferred that even though it is hard to develop a thought-out long-term financial plan in chaotic times, it is still necessary to try to create and follow short – and middle-terms plans.
