In “Act Without Words,” the arrival of the tree of life is announced using some sharp whistles. The whistle makes the man aware of the existence of the tree. The whistle is used again to make the man aware of the presence of the scissors which had fallen from the flies. This means that the whistle is being used to make the man aware of the things that are getting into his presence. However, the voice that issues from the right then from the left as the man is being hurled back is used to make the man alert. Any time the man was supposed to undertake an action, a voice would be used, but whenever something was brought into his presence, a whistle would be used to announce its arrival.
