If you could choose any three people who have ever lived to join you for dinner, whom would you invite and why?

Often described as the most unstable large mass of ice, the West Atlantic Ice Sheet (WAIS) has been studied by many scientists. Most of them have predicted that they will succumb to the effects of global warming. It should be noted that this aftermath portends a disaster of unrivaled magnitude, with far-reaching repercussions. These effects would be detrimental, especially to the developing world where poverty is rampant. Consequently, everything will be transformed, and a new world will be founded. The net effect will be felt on a global scale as the source of raw materials and market for finished products will be in ruins.

After the crumbling of WAIS, it is reported that sea levels will rise by 16 feet across the globe. This will result in submergence of the coastline hence displacement of persons. This also implies a decline in the tourism industry. This will have great implications since a majority of nations depend on this income to finance their economies. Those spared from death will be displaced. This implies a lack of food and shelter. Their predicament makes them dependants, thereby hurting the economy.

Agriculture will also be affected by unpredictable weather patterns. Prolonged droughts and extreme floods occurring randomly make it difficult to plan adequately. This will impact negatively agro-based economies worldwide.

I would like to invite Professor Stephen Hawking, who was awarded a degree in natural science after studying physics at the university. He was born and raised in England where he also studied. Currently, he spends time with his family as he carries out research. Adam Smith would be my next guest. He was an astute student of moral philosophy during his time at the University of Glasgow. Lastly, I would like to host the commander, Sun Tzu. He is a renowned Chinese war hero, credited for his masterpiece, The Art of War.

Stephen Hawking

He will use his extensive knowledge of earth matters to talk about the repercussions of this occurrence on the ecosystem. In line with this, he will talk about the possible repercussions after the sea level ascends by 16 feet across the globe. Hawking will comment on the possibilities of a different calamity being triggered by the collapse of this ice sheet.

Adam Smith

He is widely known for his invisible hand theory which formed the basis for a laissez-faire policy in economics. Adam will examine economic methods appropriate for rebuilding the new world. The collapse of this glacier is bound to affect the economic standing of nations the world over. He will propose methods that will spur growth when implemented by nations striving for recovery.

Sun Tzu

His knowledge of dealing with people and uncanny ability to inspire persons to unity for a certain purpose makes him the right person for this question. He will discuss societal values that should be emphasized in order to eliminate the life-threatening effects of the atmosphere after the collapse of WAIS.
