In a monopolistic market, there is only one supplier and many consumers in the market. If the company were in a monopolistic market, they would analyze the marginal revenue and the marginal cost. When the marginal revenue is higher than the marginal cost, the company may decide to increase the amount of output by producing an extra unit of production. A higher amount of work produced at a lower price widens the profit margin. Monopolies also have the power to control sway since they have control over the market. The revenue base can be increased by having hiked prices. The units produced cheaply and sold at a higher price would increase the business’ profits.
