According to Johnson, it establishes theist faith voluntarism which prevents scholars and moralists from finding the true reasons for God’s behavior. According to Johnson, ‘retreating to faith’ is an obscurantist position of people who refuse to see that God can be as well as good as evil and vice versa. If he is good, it is problematic why he allows all people’s sufferings have such omnipotence and strengths. Neither can it be said that he is totally bad.
