The battle of Saratoga was fought for eight days during the American Revolutionary wars in 1777 between the Americans and the British. In this case, this battle significantly persuaded the French to become American partners. On the other hand, the battle of Yorktown was fought in 1862, which was between the joint forces of American and French forces over the British army. Based on this, this battle was important since it was the last main ground clash during the American revolutionary war. It can be argued that the two battles were fought during the American Revolution and that in both of them, America was fighting against the British colonial rule.
