The international conflict of law can be related to private international law or the international private law which regulates the lawsuits involving cases where different judgments are bound to arise depending on the jurisdiction laws applied.
Conflict of laws can either be universal or particular. Universally, it relates to private laws whose norms are not only obligatory for all states but are also universal and uniform, enlightening their universal nature. The particular conflict of laws is for the idea that all states should have their own norms of conflict of laws which will enable them to pursue their own policies.
Conflict of laws can be used to refer to a legal process that resolves similar disputes even where the legal systems involved are either international or interstate.
The conflict of law also shows in matrimonial cases. If it is a divorce case, complications arise if the parties differ on citizenship or the place of filing the divorce is different from marriage place. This brings the application of different rules hiring foreign lawyers who can write legal opinions and translate the foreign law.
The court also has the duty of establishing whether there is a property agreement governing the relationship of both parties.
The application of a certain national legal system against others may not be quite satisfactory which is the reason why the interests of the parties involved may be better considered if a law with international considerations is utilized.
