GERS’ financial state has been stable over the years because the board of management has valued putting the assets in investments that earn it good returns. For example, GERS has various real estate properties, banks, shopping malls which ensures it receives adequate income apart from members’ Contribution.

Large Number of Members

Currently, GERS has many subscribers that are active therefore making it use more financial resources to meet its pension fees. This has made GERS sell most of its assets to finance the monthly payments.
