How might you improve the “everyday use of organizational data” process? Do you currently see it as a source of waste hampering your improvement efforts?

The “everyday use of organizational data” process can be improved by first enhancing an organizational-wide language. According to Giannakouros and Chen, the foremost objective of a built-in improvement should focus on reducing human cultural differences by promoting a common improvement language for everyone.

The common language enables a person to clarify aims and see a system from a broader viewpoint. In other words, it helps a person to answer questions that allow for integrating and clarifying aims and systems concurrently. Additionally, essential indicators should be continuously monitored to get familiar with the plan to understand the effects in real-time.

Second, it can be improved by demonstrating competence. This can be achieved by focusing on the results and allowing colleagues to get the credits. Third, it can be enhanced by setting a short-term strategy. The strategy should be based on consistency in practicing data sanity to produce the desired results.

Currently, I do not see it as a waste hampering my improvement efforts. Although the efforts can initially receive resistance from superior colleagues, every employee would like to work in a favorable environment where their efforts are appreciated and there is value in their work.

Few, if not all, employees would like to work in a stressful environment where confusion, chaos, and conflict is the norm of the day because there is limited basic knowledge of the difference in “the everyday use of organizational data.”
