The closeness of pods to each other is a significant reason why cetaceans in different geographical regions get infected with the morbillivirus. Since the virus is transmitted through contact with contaminated droplets, the pods exchange water which initiates the spread of the virus to other mammals in different zones. Contacting freshwater with dirty water within the coastal lines fastens the spread of the virus to different pods.
How might cetacean morbllivirus spread from different stacks it they are not normally in contact with each other? Form a hypothesis that might account for how the virus moved into both residentand migratory populations.
