The word “honest” is one of the most often used words in this tragedy. And in major cases, it is connected with Iago. In Act I, the words “Honest Iago” are said by Othello at first, and then, this word by Othello describes Iago a lot of times. Only In Act III can we see it more than 20 times.
Often it is used to describe Iago and sometimes Desdemona. However, if said about Iago, this word is repeated too that makes the reader put in doubt his real honesty.
