Within my work environment, data is used to evaluate the health conditions, progress, and outcomes of individual patients. For instance, on the basis of information from the hospital’s EHRs related to a patient, it is possible to estimate the potential factors that impact his health and evaluate the efficiency of treatment. In turn, at the national level, data is used to evaluate the efficiency of general approaches for their subsequent improvement. Thus, data collected from multiple hospitals’ records dedicated to surgery complications allow evaluation of the scope of this issue to implement new strategies for their prevention.
