The principle of trust in God, obedience to God, and humility during trials are also reflected in the person of Jesus Christ. He ascends to Golgotha and accepts a painful death, as it was the will of God. Even Jesus Christ doubts before taking death from the Romans. These doubts are evidenced by his long prayer to God in the Gardens of Gethsemane after Judas betrays him to the Roman soldiers. Jesus prays and asks to avoid such a death, but then he humbles and strengthens his faith in God and obeys him. However, God’s plan for Jesus Christ is different from His plan for Elijah, so Elijah faces less terrifying trials.
