My expectations about Mary Shelley’s book “Frankenstein or, The Modern Prometheus” did not match reality. Before reading the book, I only have heard some dry facts about it, therefore, I knew it was about a mysterious creature that revised from the dead. I thought that Frankenstein would be the monster himself, however, the plot is completely different as Victor is a scientist who creates those dead-walking subjects.

Although I knew the work is a poem, according to my expectations, the plot would revolve around Frankenstein taking revenge on society because of his past life. I was thinking in the wrong direction as the arisen man chases only his creator and his family. After Frankenstein’s death, the monster has not been seen anymore. I have a positive impression after reading the book as it was ascertained to be even more fascinating than expected.
