Firstly, Lebanon receives massive aids from the European Union and Saudi Arabia besides other countries and well-wishers. These were not evident in countries, which participated in WW2 since there were no such organizations as European Union. EU never existed by then. Additionally, the then international relationships were weak. Lebanon could have worsened since she could not have received the economic supports she currently enjoys. This indicates the differences that could have existed in the phenomenon.
