Being a response to the Great Depression and its challenges on the surface, the New Deal, in fact, allowed redefining the relationships between different ethnic groups and social classes within American society, creating premises for possible reconciliation. The New Deal can be considered a groundbreaking change in the dynamics of social relationships since it provided an opportunity for introducing homogenous regulations into the trading system. Thus, the needs of all members of the American population were addressed. Moreover, the New Deal extended its influence to meet the needs of underrepresented populations, including ethnic minorities and women, by prohibiting job discrimination based on the grounds of gender or race. Therefore, the New Deal should be seen as the cornerstone for redefining the principles of social justice and racial relationships in the environment of the early 20th-century U.S.
