How could you include some of cognitive, social or affective and metacognitive strategies in your next content lesson to help your students be more successful?

In the next content lesson, the cognitive strategy could be used in terms of repetition or summarizing the meaning of the material. In addition, the students can be advised to visualize or associate the learned vocabulary with a comical setting to remember the new phrases better. In terms of affective strategy, the students will be divided into small groups to cooperate in a social-mediating activity. Moreover, the metacognitive approach will include students’ self-management and evaluation when completing exercises. The combination of the three strategies will enable them to support students’ emotional needs, regulate their learning, and will let ELLs transact with others.
