Social media has become a crucial tool for workers to communicate and air views and demands. The workers can also get instant information on their rights through social media. The NLRA set up particular policies relating to communication to protect both the employer and employee. An employer does not have the right to restrict an employee’s discussion on social media, but to what extent? The worker is free to talk about his working conditions, but the firm may restrict the employee from talking about the details meant to be private to the firm. It safeguards the organization’s private details, such as banking statements, which the employer may not wish the public to know.
