How Art Reflects Ideas, Beliefs, and the World in Which We Live

Discuss how art reflects and expresses ideas, beliefs, and the world in which we live.

Picasso often used art as a political tool to expose governmental corruption, to encourage fellow citizens to care about personal losses in wartime (Spanish Civil War and WWII), to show the often overlooked fear, anxiety, and pain caused by war and senseless violence, to help people reflect on social problems and think critically about ways to solve such issues. As Christians, we use many tools to defend our faith. However, art is typically not one of them. Defend an aspect of your Christian faith, life, or walk; choose a specific aspect, idea, concept, event, theory, etc.; same for all. Propose a change that needs to be made in our culture and our world.
