Helping a Client Find an Internal Conflict

How would you help your client negate his success by exploring alternative meanings of messages and discrepancies in thoughts and actions?

Imagine the following scenario: Your client is a person who has great successes but continually negates the success. Identify the conflict by observing the mixed messages, discrepancies, or internal or external conflict. Point out the discrepancies in your own view and words in a tentative fashion. Evaluate the effectiveness or response.
