The government of the USA has been noted economists to be ever stretching its budget. This simply indicates its plan to increase its purchasing power in order to buy the services and goods necessary for running the economy. For example, it actively participates in international trade from which it acquires goods that are not produced in the country. The government also likes buying goods from suppliers who are given tenders to supply them with goods and services. Apart from buying permanent assets, the government sometimes rents services for a given period of time.
