From the Predictable Irrationality excerpt, we know that, “humans rarely choose things in absolute terms.” What are your thoughts on this?

The Predictable Irrationality concept describes how individuals consider the advantage of a given thing when a choice needs to be made. As Barry Schwartz describes in the identified TED Talk, it is agreeable that the idea of opportunity cost dictates the manner in which people make such crucial decisions. They will compare the available choices and focus on the one that provides the best solution or outcome. Unfortunately, such a choice could eventually present some difficulties, thereby forcing the individual to develop internal conflicts since people might not make choices absolutely. Individuals can, therefore, go back and make another choice in accordance with the returns and exchanges model.
