Explain the meaning of the terms “digital divide” and “digital inequality”, and the difference between the “local” and “global” digital divides.

There is a significant difference between the digital divide and digital inequality. On the one hand, the digital divide involves emerging disparities across the gradient of socio-economic factors across the online population.

On the other hand, digital inequality affects the emergent differences that affirm demographic traits across the populace domain, thus the necessity of improving interdependence. From a different perspective, the local and global digital divides render an in-depth overview of the conceptual framework.

The local digital divide involves the variation in the distribution system of internet connections in a short region. In contrast, the global digital divide involves articulating the internet range difference based on an international scale.
