Explain the implications of Sociocultural theory for assessment and special instructional practice.

The central concept of Vygotsky’s sociocultural theory is that society is responsible for influencing individual development. In other words, the interaction between the community and its developing members is highly crucial. Therefore, Vygotsky’s ideas might positively impact unique instructional practice as tutors might create a learning environment based on shared problems to enhance people’s knowledge individually and in the group. However, this theory is also influential to the methods of assessment as learners might be evaluated on their development, not in terms of basic subjects’ knowledge, but social interaction and experiences.
