Genetic programming may be used to evolve solutions to problems, and it is a way of finding an S-expression that best solves the problem. Genetic algorithms can be applied for solving number series problems since math functions are easily converted into a tree-form and vice versa. Genetic programming generates useful solutions to search and optimization problems using a method that mimics the process of natural evolution.
