Despite the fact that the ultimate goal of every sexual intercourse is creating a new life, there can be two words to describe it, namely, reproduction and procreation. The former can be defined as the production of offspring performed by animals through a sexual or asexual process. Essentially, reproduction is an act that only can be done by animals and not humans. In contrast, procreation constitutes the creation of a new human being which can be performed only by people through sexual intercourse.
